How It Works
We replaced the entire traditional structured cabling process with pre-made, modular cable kits that install in minutes.
Traditional Cabling vs. MyCableGuys
Traditional Approach
- Hours of cable pulling and dressing
- Skilled technician with punch-down tools
- Field termination failures and re-tests
- Permanent install — expensive to move or change
- Bulk cable spools, patch panels, jacks, testers
Typical install time: 4-8 hours per cabinet pair
MyCableGuys Approach
- Pre-made kits — just plug in
- Anyone can install — no special skills
- Factory-tested, zero field failures
- Fully reusable — move and redeploy
- One kit has everything you need
Typical install time: 15-30 minutes per cabinet pair
Copper Cable Kits
12 individually numbered slim Cat6 patch cords bundled in PET braided sleeving
The Bundle
12 slim Cat6A patch cords, each individually numbered, enclosed in PET Expandable Braided Sleeving and sealed with heat-shrink. Creates a clean ~2.5" diameter cable with 12 circuits inside. Rated for 1G and 10GBASE-T up to 150 ft.
Switch Side
The 12 individual patch cords fan out and plug directly into switch ports — no patch panel needed on the switch side (or optional panel for structured setup).
Remote Cabinet Side
The other end plugs into an RJ45 Through Coupler Panel in the remote cabinet. Users patch their devices directly into the coupler panel — clean and simple.
Fiber Cable Kits
LC-to-MPO breakout cables with universal cassette chassis
The Breakout Cable
6-pair LC-to-MPO breakout cable. LC connectors on one end, MPO connector on the other. Factory-terminated, OM3/OM4 multimode fiber.
Switch Side
LC connectors plug directly into switch SFP/SFP+ ports. Each breakout cable handles 6 ports — two cables for a full 12-port group.
Remote Cabinet Side
MPO connector plugs into an MPO-to-LC Universal Cassette in the remote cabinet. The cassette breaks out each MPO into individual LC ports for patching.
